This week in the 'bloids

I noticed while standing in the check-out line recently that the Enquirer (a Murdoch rag iirc) is now all-Trump all-the-time, and all of the headlines not only positive but positively hagiographic. Talk about cult of personality. I long for the days of "Best/Worst Bikini Bodies" and "[insert name of aging celebrity]'s Sad Last Days".

The ones I have to admit amuse me are the magazines that announce with great fanfare their "exclusive!" that Jennifer Anniston or whatever other celebrity is pregnant at last! Then six months or so later, they do it all over again and their readers (who I can almost guarantee are Trump voters) fall for it again. And again.

Give me the "hot sheet" days of MEN IN BLACK. Or the real Enquirer of the 1960s and 1970s.

The editor of the Enquirer is a close friend of Trump, thus the strong pro-Trump/anti-Clinton tone in every issue during the campaign and after.
