I graduated from HS in 1965. Back then, having people sign your copy of the yearbook was a big thing (at least in Indianapolis). I made the mistake of reading those little dedications before my 50th HS reunion...the things we said to each other...

I've read the comments in mine, too. What fun!

Man, we didn't have categories like those - best legs? - in my 1965 yearbook which, incidentally was called The Log. This led the Class Wit to go around asking people (i.e. girls), "Do you want to sign my Log?" Of course, if he asked a boy, the proper response was, "Whip it out."

Our "Senior Celebrities" categories were: Brightest, Most Popular, Prettiest/Best Looking (Boy)/Cutest, Best Dressed, Class Wits, Dancers, Artists, Mr. and Miss Madison, Athletes, Musicians, Actors (sadly, the guy who won died of AIDS), Most Likely to Succeed.

An aside, for anyone up on New York Fashion Week, the Best Dressed winner was Fern Mallis, who did make her mark in the fashion world.

We had none of those categories. Class Favorite was all.

Debby must not have appreciated her best legs award. She wore knee boots in the photo.
