Good list, overall. How did Dean Martin get in there?

Here's the NYC list, 3/24/65:

1 1 STOP! IN THE NAME OF LOVE - The Supremes
2 4 I’M TELLING YOU NOW - Freddie & The Dreamers
3 2 GOLDFINGER - Shirley Bassey
4 12 NOWHERE TO RUN - Martha & The Vandellas
5 6 KING OF THE ROAD - Roger Miller
6 13 GAME OF LOVE - Wayne Fontana & The Mindbenders
7 5 CAN’T YOU HEAR MY HEARTBEAT - Herman’s Hermits
8 7 SHOTGUN - Jr. Walker & The All Stars
9 3 EIGHT DAYS A WEEK - The Beatles
10 14 DON’T MESS UP A GOOD THING - Fontella Bass & Bobby McClure

I Know a Place (Petula Clark) and Tired of Waiting for You (Kinks) and I'll Be Doggone (Marvin Gaye) took big jumps to the top 20.

Dino's faux country period get him several hits. I kind of liked them, but then I was always partial to his singing.

Jewel Akens, Moody Blues, Del Shannon, the Beatles, the King, Jack Jones, the Kinks, Dino. the Kingsmen, Pet Clark, Shirley Ellis, and GOLDFINGER all in the Top 40. And Orbison, Georgie Fame, Connie Francis, Roger Miller, Jr. Walker, and Jan and Dean to boot. We never realized how good we had it.
